The Intrepids Flying Safari
The 7 night Intrepids Flying safari offers an adventurous and luxurious way to explore two of Kenya's greatest wilderness areas, whilst staying in some of the most exclusive camps. You will spend 1 night in Nairobi, three nights in Samburu and three nights in the Masai Mara. Flying by light aircraft throughout makes light work of the long distances and enables you to spend more time game viewing in the reserves.A stay at Samburu Intrepids Club offers fantastic game viewing opportunities in stunning surroundings. Samburu is in the North of Kenya is home to the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo), here you will also find the rarer species such as the Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Blue Legged Somali Ostrich, species rarely seen elsewhere in East Africa. The Ewaso Nyiro River runs through the heart of the reserve offering a perfect watering hole, this is where 'The Secret Lives of Elephants' was filmed and a paradise for those searching for a variety of game in stunning surroundings.
Finally, this safari finishes with three nights the magnificent Masai Mara, famed for its vast numbers of plains game, the spectacular big cats and the annual Great Migration. Here you stay at The Mara Intrepids Camp. This luxury camp sits above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara's four game-viewing areas, this club enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the world's best-known wilderness.

DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW-NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.
DAY 2 NAIROBI
On arrival transfer to your hotel for a day at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions (book and pay locally).

DAY 3 SAMBURU
Fly to the Samburu National Reserve (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes) and transfer to your lodge for lunch. Samburu Intrepids Club looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephants, buffaloes and zebras come daily to drink, together with the rarer species of reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope. A late afternoon game drive.
Overnight: Samburu Intrepids Club.
DAY 4 SAMBURU
Early morning and late afternoon game drives. Relax by the pool or camel and walking safaris can be arranged (book and pay locally).

DAY 6 MASAI MARA
Transfer to the airstrip for a light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 45 minutes). An afternoon game drive. Mara Intrepids Club sits above a sweeping bend in the Talek River.

DAY 7 MASAI MARA
An early morning Balloon flight over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra), or an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Time to relax by the pool before a late afternoon game drive.

DAY 8 MASAI MARA
